Essex win Eastern Counties League

14 Aug 2022 by Steve Lesslie

The Eastern Counties League is six rinks of fours, competing against other counties (Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambs, Hunts, Beds & Herts) in a league format. This is a highly competitive league, but it is generally the pool from which County selectors choose their Middleton Cup (elite) squad (which Tom played in).

Essex have won the league this year with their nearest rival Beds losing yesterday (table to be updated http://www.ecba.online/ )

Castle Hedingham had representation in the campaign with Tom playing three matches (vs. Cambs, Hunts and Suffolk) and myself playing (in the latter two).
